International Medical Sciences Academy (IMSA) was established as a
global organization in 1981 with a vision of bettering universal health. It
is registered as a professional body under The Societies Registration
Act XXI (1861) of India and is governed by a board of Trustees. Its headquarters is located at New Delhi, India. The Academy has
traversed a long way in the perpetuation of its pristine objectives after its
launching nearly three decades ago. Today it is one of the prestigious
organizations in Biomedical Sciences sustaining both academic and
social relevance.
To meet out the vision of better universal health, IMSA has tripartite approach.
The three cardinal components of its mission are biomedical research, medical
education and health care delivery. It aims to originate, develop, establish and
propagate highest levels of standards in health care sans geographic borders
through Biomedical Research, Medical Education and Health Care Delivery.
IMSA, a multidisciplinary global academy, established in 1981 in India aims at
blurring the boundaries between the medical specialties that we study and
encourages an amalgamation into an inter-professional approach towards
continuing medical education of professionals through seminars, scientific
sessions and conferences.
Dear Fraternity Members, We welcome you!
We call the year IMSA Year of Fraternity 2020!
The Academy is a reflection of the fraternity. This fraternity is the most prized possession.
IMSA Conference 2020, Dr R R Thukral Midterm IMSA
Conference 2020, Rohtak, India
Theme: Affordable Healthcare: Challenges and Future Prospects
Pt. B D Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak,
Haryana
Its expected that health cares evolution will have far-reaching impacts as new business models emerge
that blur boundaries and drive cross-sector and cross-industry convergence. The resulting super clusters
of public-private providers, payers, and market disruptors could then use a smart health community
approach to collectively drive innovation, increase access and affordability, improve quality, and lower
costs through more efficient delivery models.
Aging and growing populations, greater prevalence of chronic diseases, exponential advances in
innovative, but costly, digital technologiesthese and other developments continue to increase health
care demand and expenditures.
Global health care spending is projected to increase at an annual rate of 5.4% in 20182022, a
considerable rise from 20132017. This increase reflects the expansion of health care coverage in
developing markets, the growing care needs of elderly populations, advances in treatments and health
technologies, and rising health care labor costs.
Per-person health care spending is expected to continue to vary widely; efforts to close the gap will be
constrained by higher population growth in developing economies.
Higher per-person spending does not always equate to higher-quality health care.
Join us for an innovative session of Affordable Healthcare: Challenges and Future Prospects
We are thankful to our fraternity, our prized possession, who has given us the due impetus to take forward matters of academic interest and priority.
The President and the Board of Trustees members IMSA, request all fellows & Members of IMSA to contribute
generously to IMSA Building Fund. Cheque may be drawn in favour of IMSA Building Fund.
