Opening of the article

In India, the incidence of breast cancer is on the rise. However there is little data about the role of various known and/ or presumptive risk factors for breast cancer. This case-control study was conducted on 115 cases with diagnosed breast cancer and 127 controls. Socioeconomic, demographic, reproductive and other known risk factors were analyzed for their prevalence and odds ratio in the study population. Prevalence of risk factors determining endogenous or exogenous hormone exposure was low.
