Introduction: Melasma involves not only an increase in the melanogenesis but in addition there is hypervascularisation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of vascular laser (Pure yellow light laser 577nm) in combination with 4n Butyl Resorcinol, depigmenting serum. Methodology: Study included s ixty-two patients with 32 and 30 cases in Group A and B respectively. Melanin index (MI) and erythema index (EI) were evaluated by colorimeter; subjective evaluation by using the modified melasma area severity index (mMASI); and ultrastructural alterations in lesional skin by polarised light imaging through dermoscope at pre (0 week) and post (24 week) treatment.
